Fripperies recommends hand washing with a mild soap, such as forever new (accessories), and lying flat to dry. A laundry/lingerie bag should be used for all find washable in the machine to prevent hooks from catching items and to keep delicate fabrics from other harmful items in the laundry such as zippers and velcro tabs.
- Cotton : can withstand high temperatures, may be machine washed. a 3-5% shrinkage can occur.
- Rayon, Viscose, Modal : low temp wash. 4-7% shrinkage possible therefore hand wash is recommended.
- Silk : hand wash cool temps., mild detergent dry flat to reshape
- Tactel, Lycra,Polyesters, Elastane : machine washes well. Warm water no hot irons MELTING!!!
